Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) is Australia’s largest non-government provider of therapy, education and diagnostic services for people with hearing or vision loss, assisting thousands of children a year.
In addition to comprehensive paediatric and adult hearing implant services, RIDBC provides client and family centred early intervention, education and related therapy services to children and adults with hearing loss.
An exciting opportunity is now available for a collaborative and experienced Manager to lead service provision across our RIDBC Hunter Area on a full-time basis.
The Area Manager will be responsible for the operations of services at Gosford, Floraville and Newcastle inclusive of Early Intervention, Allied Health and a comprehensive Cochlear Implant Program. To do this they will effectively manage people, productivity, resources, performance and outcomes across all functions within their services.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic and motivated team of transdisciplinary professionals. Supported by a Regional Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to the below:
- Contributing to a cohesive team of professionals to ensure quality service delivery
- Implementing and monitoring processes and systems that support best practice service delivery
- Ensuring centres operate within state or regional or area requirements
- Measuring and tracking individual and team performance against budget
- Efficient coordination of resources across the area
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in management, clinical management or a related field - highly desirable.
- 5yrs + experience in a service, operations or program leadership role within the disability or health sector is highly desirable.
- A client-centred mindset, with the ability to understand and balance client experience, quality and financial outcomes
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, able to build, lead and inspire strong teams through change
- Ability to drive and deliver innovative solutions
- Motivation and energy to adapt to a changing environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement
